Aspergillus spp. ELITe MGB Kit

Aspergillus spp. are ubiquitous environmental fungi and among the most important opportunistic fungal pathogens, causing a broad spectrum of diseases ranging from allergic and chronic pulmonary conditions to life-threatening invasive aspergillosis. Invasive infection occurs predominantly in immunocompromised patients, including recipients of hematopoietic stem cell transplants (HSCT) and solid organ transplants (SOT), and is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. As clinical manifestations are often non-specific, rapid and reliable laboratory diagnosis is essential. In this context, molecular detection of Aspergillus DNA can complement conventional diagnostic approaches, supporting the early identification of infection and timely clinical decision-making. Aspergillus spp. ELITe MGB® Kit is a real-time PCR assay designed for the detection and quantification of the DNA of the Aspergillus genus (Aspergillus spp.) in DNA samples extracted from clinical specimens.

The assay is validated for use with ELITe InGenius® and ELITe BeGenius® instruments for bronchoalveolar lavage, bronchial aspirate and plasma matrices.

The assay is also validated with the 7500 Fast Dx and 7300 Real-Time PCR Instrument, using bronchoalveolar lavage and bronchial aspirate.
