Detection, identification, enumeration and susceptibility testing of urogenital mycoplasma:
The Complement MYCOFAST® RevolutioN ATB+ kits contains only MYCOFAST RevolutioN 2 trays. They are colorimetric assays designed for identification, enumeration at pathological thresholds and susceptibility testing to worldwide recommended antibiotics and their concentrations for Ureaplasma urealyticum / Ureaplasma parvum (U.u.) and Mycoplasma hominis (M.h.). With results in 24 hours, , the samples can be urine, sperm or urethral/cervicovaginal swabs (with UMMt RevolutioN). Enumeration and antibiotic susceptibility according to worldwide recommendations from the CLSI (Clinical and Laboratory Standard Institute).
The Complement MYCOFAST® Revolution ATB+ is designed to be used after a MYCOFAST® Screening RevolutioN positive test. Samples for both procedures must be stored in UMMt RevolutioN transport mediums for 56 hours at 2-8°C.

Principle
MYCOFAST® RevolutioN ATB+ identifies U.u. and M.h. growth after 24 hours of incubation in a liquid medium. During growth, U.u. and M.h. metabolize urea and arginine respectively resulting in a color change of the medium, which contains phenol red indicator, from yellow-orange to red.
- Enumeration of U.u at 103 and 104 UCC/ml, M.h at 104 UCC/ml
- Susceptibility testing to 11 antibiotics at specific concentrations including the 6 compliant with worldwide recommendations: Levofloxacin, Moxifloxacin, Erythromycin, Clindamycin, Tetracyclin, Telithromycin, Minocycline, Ofloxacin, Josamycin, Pristinamycin and Roxithromycin.
Easy-to-read and easy-to-interpret results
The results are read by the color obtained in the different wells. Urogenital mycoplasma growth is indicated when the medium turns red (alkaline). The medium remains yellow when no growth of urogenital mycoplasma occurs.
OPTIONAL : MYCOPLASMA Stabilizer (REF. 00064) – prolong up to 72 hours the storage time.
