Viral Essential 2 ELITe MGB® Kit

Adenoviruses, enteroviruses, and parechoviruses are recognized causes of viral meningitis and encephalitis, particularly in infants and young children. Enteroviruses and parechoviruses often present with fever, seizures, and irritability, while adenovirus is a rarer but severe cause in vulnerable patients. Early molecular diagnosis is essential to guide management and reduce the risk of complications.

The Product Viral Essential 2 ELITe MGB^® Kit is a multiplex Real-Time PCR assay designed for the detection and identification of the genomic RNA of Enterovirus and Parechovirus, and the genomic DNA of Adenovirus extracted from clinical specimens. The assay is validated in association with the ELITe InGenius^® and ELITe BeGenius^® instruments using human specimens of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF).
