Viral Essential 1 ELITe MGB® Kit

HHV-6, HSV-1, HSV-2, and VZV are major viral causes of meningitis and encephalitis.
They can lead to fever, seizures, and neurological deficits, with HSV-1 being the leading cause of sporadic encephalitis in adults. These infections are especially severe in neonates and immunocompromised patients, requiring rapid diagnosis for effective management.

The Viral Essential 1 ELITe MGB^® Kit is a multiplex Real-Time PCR assay designed for the detection and identification of the genomic DNA of HSV1, HSV2, VZV and HHV6 A/B extracted from clinical specimens.

The assay is validated in association with the ELITe InGenius® and ELITe BeGenius® instruments using human specimens of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF).
