EBV ELITe MGB® Kit

Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) is a ubiquitous herpesvirus associated with a broad range of clinical manifestations, from infectious mononucleosis to severe complications in immunocompromised individuals. In transplant recipients and other high-risk patients, EBV reactivation or uncontrolled viral replication may contribute to the development of serious disorders such as post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD). EBV viral load monitoring is important to diagnose and monitor such complications which are cared for by reducing the patient immunosuppressive treatment. EBV ELITe MGB® Kit is a real-time PCR assay, designed for the detection and quantification of EBV DNA extracted from clinical specimens.

The assay is validated for use with ELITe InGenius® and ELITe BeGenius® instruments for whole blood, plasma and cerebrospinal fluid matrices, and with the MyGenius PRO® instrument for whole blood.

The assay is also validated with the ELITe GALAXY, automated extraction and PCR set-up system and 7500 Fast Dx Real-Time PCR Instrument using whole blood.
