Parvovirus B19 causes fifth disease (also called erythema infectiosum), which usually presents with a rash, which can spread to the face, fever, and sometimes joint pain. Serious complications from Parvovirus B19 infection, such as chronic anemia, can arise in immunocompromised people.1
