VZV ELITe MGB^® Kit

Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV) is a widespread herpes virus responsible for varicella or “chickenpox” in children, and zoster in adults. After solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, latent VZV reactivation is frequent, leading to serious skin diseases and diverse complications, especially for young patients without pre-existing immunity to VZV. In the post-transplant period, VZV diagnosis and viral load testing is relevant for patient management, at the onset of suggestive symptoms to confirm the diagnostics. VZV ELITe MGB^® Kit is a real-time PCR assay designed for the detection and quantification of varicella zoster virus DNA. The assay is CE-IVD validated on a large range of sample types, in combination with ELITe InGenius^®, a fully automated sample-to-result solution.
