PRINCETON, NJ.  (March 25, 2011) ELITech Clinical Systems (ECS), an ELITech Group company, recently announced 510(k) clearance from the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) for its Selectra ProM Chemistry System.   The Selectra ProM sets a new standard for bench top analyzers by  providing laboratories with a solution to address their productivity, cost, and space challenges.  The ProM system is a compact, bench-top analyzer capable of performing up to 266 tests per hour and used to support primary, STAT, and backup testing needs.  Cost effective use of consumables, on-board reagent cooling, and minimal maintenance help keep operational costs low.  New capabilities such as a ‘smart’ icon-driven operator interface, positive sample identification (PSID), and automated reagent programming and tracking increase productivity and help reduce errors delivering trouble-free results laboratories can trust.
