John Cunningham Virus (JCV) is a widespread, asymptomatic polyomavirus sharing high homology with BK virus and establishing latency in the kidney. JCV reactivation, after hematopoietic stem cell or solid organ transplantation, is associated with numerous infections of the central nervous system. JCV viral load testing is important to monitor and prevent such complications in transplant patients.

JCV ELITe MGB® Kit is a real-time PCR assay designed for the detection and quantification of JC polyomavirus DNA. The assay is CE-IVD validated on a large range of sample types, in combination with ELITe InGenius®, a fully automated sample-to-result solution.
