Human herpes virus 7 (HHV7) is a ubiquitous virus, commonly acquired during childhood. Latent reactivation of HHV7 after solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation exacerbates the pathological effects of CMV and leads to graft dysfunction. HHV7 detection and viral load monitoring by molecular methods is important to limit a graft-versus-host disease and adapt antiviral treatment.

HHV7 ELITe MGB® Kit is a real-time PCR assay designed for the detection and quantification of human herpes virus 7 DNA. The assay is CE-IVD validated on different sample types, in combination with ELITe InGenius®, a fully automated sample-to-result solution.
