Toxoplasma g. ELITe MGB® Kit

Toxoplasma gondii is a highly prevalent intracellular parasite responsible for toxoplasmosis in the general population, and responsible for highly severe infections in immunocompromised patients. Severe toxoplasmosis can occur through the graft, especially after heart transplantation, or by reactivation after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Direct Toxoplasma gondii detection with molecular methods is important in order to identify infected patients and initiate an appropriate treatment.

Toxoplasma gondii diagnosis is also relevant during pregnancy to identify any on-going infection and quickly initiate the adequate prophylaxis to prevent foetal transmission and limit associated complications

Toxoplasma g. ELITe MGB® Kit is a real-time PCR assay for the detection of Toxoplasma gondii DNA. The assay is CE-IVD validated on different sample types with automated extraction and PCR systems.
