BKV ELITe MGB® Kit

BK Virus (BKV) is a highly prevalent and asymptomatic polyomavirus in the general population, and a major cause of renal infection in immunocompromised patients. Latent BKV is frequently reactivated after kidney and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, leading to renal dysfunction and potentially graft loss. BKV viral load monitoring is crucial for patient management in order to prevent renal diseases and transplant failure.

BKV ELITe MGB® Kit is a real-time PCR assay for the detection and quantification of BK virus DNA. The assay is CE-IVD validated on diverse range of sample types, in combination with ELITe InGenius®, a fully automated sample-to-result solution.

CRE ELITe MGB® Kit

Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) are bacteria resistant to carbapenems, the antibiotics of “last resort”.  CRE are responsible for serious infections much more difficult to treat with higher morbidity and mortality in hospitals. Rapid and reliable Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae detection with molecular methods is crucial to identify infected patients, implement infection measure controls, and avoid outbreak in hospital and healthcare settings.

CRE ELITe MGB® Kit is a multiplex real-time PCR assay for the detection and the differentiation of all main relevant classes of Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae genes: KPC (serine carbapenemases genes), NDM, VIM, IMP (metallo beta-lactamases genes), and OXA-48 like (OXA carbapenemases genes). The assay is CE-IVD validated on different samples types, in combination with ELITe InGenius®, a fully automated sample-to-result solution.

BCR-ABL P190 ELITe MGB® Kit

The product of the Philadelaphia translocation, the BCR/ABL oncogene P190 isoform, is commonly found in acute lymphoid leukemia, a rare disease that can be fatal within a matter of months if untreated. Detection and quantification of P190 BCR-ABL fusion gene, by molecular methods, is crucial for patient management, to initiate the appropriate treatment and measure response to therapy.

 

BCR-ABL P190 ELITe MGB® Kit is a real-time PCR assay for the detection and quantification of the mRNA of the BCR-ABL t(9;22) translocation of the Philadelphia chromosome, isoform P190 compared to the kinase protein Abelson (ABL) mRNA. The assay has been tested on a large range of sample types with conventional extraction and PCR systems.

VZV ELITe MGB® Kit

Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV) is a widespread herpes virus responsible for varicella or “chickenpox” in children, and zoster in adults. After solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, latent VZV reactivation is frequent, leading to serious skin diseases and diverse complications, especially for young patients without pre-existing immunity to VZV. In the post-transplant period, VZV diagnosis and viral load testing is relevant for patient management, at the onset of suggestive symptoms to confirm the diagnostics.

CMV ELITe MGB® Kit

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a highly prevalent herpesvirus and a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in immunocompromised patients. Latent CMV can be reactivated after solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and generate very severe infections. CMV diagnosis and viral load monitoring, especially by molecular methods, is important for patient management, in order to initiate and determine efficiency of anti-viral treatment.

BCR-ABL P210 ELITe MGB® Kit

The product of the Philadelaphia translocation, the BCR/ABL oncogene P210 isoform, is typically found in chronic myelogenous leukemia, and in acute lymphoid and myeloid leukemia, causing the cells to divide uncontrollably and inducing severe outcomes among patients. Detection and quantification of P210 BCR-ABL fusion gene, by molecular methods, is crucial for patient management, to initiate the appropriate treatment, measure the response to therapy and predict relapse

HSV1 ELITe MGB® Kit

Herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV1) is a common virus life-long established in the peripheral nervous system. Mostly asymptomatic, HSV1 infections are also responsible for oral herpes. After a solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, HSV1 reactivation is frequent and generates more severe infections. HSV1 diagnosis and viral load monitoring is important to determine and adapt the efficiency of anti-viral therapy.

MTB ELITe MGB® Kit

The Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Complex (MTBC) is a genetically related group of Mycobacterium species responsible for tuberculosis in humans, one of the top 10 causes of death worldwide. Tuberculosis is primarily a pulmonary disease transmitted via contaminated aerosol droplets but has many clinical manifestations, affecting bone, the central nervous system and leading to severe outcomes if untreated. Rapid and reliable detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis species with molecular methods is crucial, especially in immunocompromised subjects, to provide an appropriate therapy.

MTB ELITe MGB® Kit is a qualitative PCR assay for the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Complex DNAs (M.tuberculosis, M.africanum, M.bovis, M. bovis BCG, M.microti and M.canettii). The assay is CE-IVD validated on bronchoalveolar lavages and bronchial aspirates with automated extraction and PCR systems.

Herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV2) is a widespread herpes virus, usually sexually transmitted and responsible for genital herpes.
